Program Description
Law Enforcement
This course is specifically created to fulfill the continuing education requirements outlined in Texas Government Code 415.034 for Texas peace officers. It focuses on special investigative topics related to child abuse and neglect, family violence, sexual assault, sex offender characteristics, and key changes within the relevant Texas codes. The course aims to enhance the officer's understanding of the essential elements of these critical areas and how they may impact their performance. By completing this course, officers can stay up-to-date with the latest information and develop the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively handle cases involving child abuse, neglect, family violence, sexual assault, and sex offenders.
On-Campus
Training is intended for Peace Officers, Law Enforcement Officers, Detectives, Supervisors, and Patrol Officers. A TCOLE number is required for TCOLE credit.
No civilians are allowed.
