Tyler Junior College Classes
Program Description
In this class, Marsha Blount will guide students through short demonstrations, showcase examples of historical works, and provide step-by-step explanations of the watercolor painting process. Beginners as well as experienced painters will gain from working through the 3-week course. It begins with an introduction to watercolor painting, exploring its unique properties along with a brief overview of color theory, paper types, brushes, paints, and other essential materials.
Designed for those seeking a balance between control and expressiveness, as well as confidence in color and technique, these classes emphasize learning through hands-on practice. In a collaborative studio setting with like-minded peers, you'll have the opportunity to discuss your work and grow from shared experiences. All supplies are provided.
*To register for the course, participants must be 16 years of age or older.
