Program Description
Law Enforcement
Law enforcement officers interact with a diverse range of people, including those who are deaf or hard of hearing, as nearly 10% of the U.S. population has some form of hearing loss. With the aging baby boomer generation, these interactions will likely increase. Officers will receive training on effective communication techniques and learn when to involve an interpreter.
On-Campus
Training is intended for Peace Officers, Law Enforcement Officers, Detectives, Supervisors, and Patrol Officers. A TCOLE number is required for TCOLE credit.
No civilians are allowed.
