The Water Wastewater Resiliency Overview course aims to empower Water and Wastewater professionals in their ability to rebound from water service interruptions. Regardless of the cause of interruption—be it natural disasters, infrastructure failures, or other unforeseen events—this program equips participants with essential knowledge and resources.
On June 8, 2021, the Texas Legislature passed Senate Bill 3 with the aim of addressing weather emergencies and power outages. As a direct result of this bill, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has instituted a resiliency training requirement specifically tailored for water operators. This training ensures that operators are well-prepared to handle disruptions, mitigate risks, and safeguard water services in their communities.
