This course is for commissioned law enforcement officers, prosecutors, or instructors seeking advanced knowledge of the Texas Transportation Code (TRC) and related rules. It addresses areas often causing confusion or complexity for officers, such as reasonable suspicion, probable cause, vehicle registration, driver's licenses, traffic control devices, moving violations, and emergency vehicle operation. Participants will learn to use resources like Texas Administrative Rules, the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, federal lighting standards, case law, and TXDPS guidance documents to better understand and enforce TRC violations, enhancing their confidence and skills in traffic enforcement and crash investigation.

Training is intended for Peace Officers, Law Enforcement Officers, Detectives, Supervisors, and Patrol Officers. A TCOLE number is required for TCOLE credit.
