Program Description
The OSHA 10-Hour General Industry course provides workers with essential knowledge of workplace safety and health hazards, covering topics such as hazard communication, electrical safety, machine guarding, and ergonomics. Designed for entry-level workers, this course promotes a strong safety culture and helps meet OSHA compliance requirements.
Policy Statement for Grant-Funded Courses
To ensure responsible use of grant funds and equitable access to training opportunities, all students registered in grant-funded courses are required to attend all registered sessions. Students who fail to attend without prior notification (no-call/no-show) may be charged up to 100% of the course cost and will lose eligibility to participate in any future grant-funded courses. Students must notify TJC at least 24 hours in advance if they are unable to attend (continuingstudies@tjc.edu or 903-510-2900). Exceptions to this policy may be made for documented emergencies, which will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. By registering for a grant-funded course you agree to the terms and conditions within this policy.
