Program Description
This course offers a dynamic exploration of fine art drawing, focusing on foundational techniques using traditional media such as pencil, charcoal, pastel, and ink. You’ll build essential skills including gesture drawing, contour and continuous line work, value shading, hatching, cross-hatching, stippling, texture, and perspective.
Guided by instructor Marsha Blount, you’ll delve into a variety of artistic styles—from line drawing and representational work to abstraction, portraiture, and spatial perspective. Along the way, you’ll be encouraged to reflect on your creative process, refine your technical abilities, and develop a distinct personal style. Whether you're beginning your artistic journey or expanding your practice, this 4-week course will empower you to express yourself with confidence and originality through the art of drawing. All supplies are included.
